Your health in the age of Social Media: Why is digital detox a necessity?

  1. I found this to be a very interesting post and I agree with it! I've seen too many times people glued to their phones or computers or whatever device and ignoring the people around them. They don't move from their chair, couch, bed, whatever, and then wonder why they are always having this pain or that one. It was so much easier when I was a little girl. We went outside to play. The only "device" we had was a TV and it wasn't 24 hours. The only "screen" I had to contend with was the one on the front door. Playing outside was fun and healthy (most of the time). I cherish those memories of chasing lightning bugs, playing hide-and-seek, talking to the neighbors, and riding my bike through the neighborhood. What are these folks that are tied to their devices going to have to cherish? Headaches and heartaches, as far as I can see. It is unfortunate.

    Have a blessed day.
